Why I love teaching at Taylor:
Taylor is a great place to work. Here I can continue to develop as a pedagogue and performer, being challenged to continue growing spiritually by both colleagues and students. I pray and trust that my teaching and modeling is a blessing to students, helping make them brighter lights and saltier salt for Christ’s glory. This is where I feel called to be right now. Finding satisfaction in one’s work is one of life’s greatest blessings (Eccl. 2:24).
Advice to incoming students:
You don’t have to have it all figured out right away—give yourself time. The big difference from high school will be taking much more responsibility for yourself—you won’t have someone telling you what to do and how to organize your time. Find a balance between social life and academics—they are both important. Get involved soon with a local church and fellowship group.
