Major career accomplishments:
I have been working with computers since 1982 and have taught computer science since 1992. My industrial experience includes data center and network management for seven years. My teaching experience includes teaching at Wheaton College (IL), the Illinois Institute of Technology, Taylor University, Valparaiso University, and the University of Mauritius. Research and development projects include after-the-fact hyperlink construal and insertion into PDF format legal documents, development of a system for the automated grading and feedback generation for student computer programs, participation in another widely-used automated-grading project, participation in a number of prototype projects for the church and missions community, and research and development of tools and methodologies in the network security industry. My current project is Bible verse memorization tools for smart phones. My international experiences include a year as a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Mauritius (2008-2009) and a sabbatical in Cuenca, Ecuador (fall 2012).
