Breuninger Hall Dedication, Alumni Honors, Highlight Taylor Homecoming

Taylor University’s 2013 Homecoming is set for Friday, October 11, through Saturday, October 12.

Highlights of the weekend include the dedication of Breuninger Hall, Taylor’s new $10 million residence hall; alumni awards; athletic Hall of Fame inductions; and athletic events.

Breuninger Hall was named in honor of the late Ruth Ann Breuninger, a one-time Taylor faculty member and founder of Taylor’s Lighthouse program – a January experience during which thousands of Taylor students have traveled throughout the United States and around the world for mission-related service over the past 40 years.

Alumni award recipients include:

Kerri Dunkelberger '85, Distinguished Alumna for Personal Achievement

Bob Schenk '51, Distinguished Alumnus for Professional Achievement

Grant Hollis '04, Distinguished Alumnus for Service to Taylor

Greg Matney '06, Distinguished Young Alumnus for Professional Achievement

Jeffrey Mills '03, Distinguished Young Alumnus for Personal Achievement

Marilyn Evans, Honorary alumna


Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2013:

Brenda Hillman '82, multiple sports

Tim Shapley '90, football

John Wachtmann '03, cross country/track and field

Kim (Martin '03) Vinson, volleyball
