Taylor Campus to Remain Closed TuesdayPublished: Jan 06, 2014
The Taylor University campus will remain closed Tuesday due to extreme cold, hazardous travel conditions, and ongoing blowing conditions that have hampered now removal efforts. This reverses our earlier decision to reopen tomorrow and delays the start of the January Interterm for a second day.
The Zondervan Library will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and the Kesler Center (KSAC) will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Shuttle service will be provided for on-campus students, faculty and staff members.
To the faculty: Tuesday’s classes will need to be made up during J-Term. Employees expected to come to work Tuesday will be notified by their supervisors and will report to work as needed and possible. Pay for hours worked will follow the inclement weather policy. All hourly employees who do not need to report Tuesday should mark their time sheets as regular hours.
Thanks to everyone for their flexibility. We ask you to all exercise caution as you travel or must be outdoors. Additionally, we ask everyone in the Taylor community exercise caution when traveling and/or being outdoors. The weather forecast calls for moderating weather conditions later in the week.
Taylor officials will continue to monitor the weather situation carefully and communicate any updates/changes to students, faculty and staff members via the Taylor Announcements email account, the taylor.edu website, and Taylor Facebook and Twitter accounts.
