As the higher education industry has assumed greater national importance, the need for qualified, trained support staff has increased in proportion. Today, there are nearly 3.5 million educational employees at US colleges–and nearly 2 million of those are in “non-instructional” positions.
MAHE graduates have been accepted for employment and/or doctoral studies at Harvard University, the University of Michigan, Indiana University, Michigan State University, Notre Dame, and Penn State. Today, Taylor graduates find success nationally and internationally.
Since 2007, the Master of Arts in Higher Education program has helped shape institutional operations and enhance community life at Taylor. The MAHE graduate program student retention rate is 95 percent, because Taylor is invested in students’ successful completion of the program.
Nearly 100 percent of MAHE graduates are currently or previously employed at nearly 100 colleges and universities, including public and private liberal arts and research universities, community colleges and Ivy League academies throughout the United States.
In harmony with the global vision of the Great Commission, Taylor graduates have worked or are working in international higher education positions in Belize, Ireland, Korea, Lithuania, Switzerland, and other countries.
While all students may not be considering a doctorate, it is important to know that the quality of education MAHE students receive enables alumni to pursue doctoral studies at some of the best institutions in the country. The opportunities students have in the MAHE program, including original thesis research, publication opportunities, and conference presentations, set Taylor students apart and prepare them for success in future education.
MAHE alumni have been accepted into some of the most competitive and prestigious doctoral programs in the world, including Baylor, Penn State, Notre Dame, Indiana University, Harvard University, University of Minnesota, Michigan State, University of Kentucky, Indiana State, and Azusa Pacific.
Many MAHE students may not choose to pursue doctoral work, but every student graduates from the program fully prepared for a life of learning.
