Following graduation, I married another Taylor graduate. We currently have two wonderful little girls! I began employment as an environmental consultant in Indianapolis, Indiana. I continued working in that capacity for a few years. Following the consultant work, I began working at Eli Lilly. I ran a regulatory management program. I am now working at Kroger Technology and Digital. I am responsible for running a sustainability initiative to reduce waste in all stores! I am very fortunate to be able to use my environmental education and training to make a significant impact!
Being part of a Christian community was extremely valuable in my formative years at Taylor. I had great, passionate professors. Their encouragement is why I continued to seek a fulfilling position in my field, and am so glad I have found it!
My classes and professors truly taught me how to conduct research. They also cultivated the determination and learning necessary to dig deeper into problem solving and resolution.
Many employers look for people with varied experiences. I would definitely recommend taking courses from a variety of areas, traveling overseas, completing internships and opening your horizons. You do not really know what you will end up doing, so be open to using your time at Taylor to discover your true passions. Taylor is a great place to search for it.
It took me a while to find a good fit to use my degree and find a fulfilling career, so do not give up. Keep trying, and be open to new challenges and experiences. You will find them!
