After graduating from Taylor in 2014, I moved back home to Cincinnati and worked for a year as a receptionist in a Psychologist and Educational Consultant’s office. I was not sure what I wanted to do with my degree in Psychology, so I used this time to explore different options and seek God's guidance for what was next. I then attended grad school at Lee University and received my Master’s in School Counseling. After grad school, I worked as a school counselor in a high school for two years. During my second year as a school counselor, I began to sense that God was leading me to serve Him in a different role. He led me to One Mission Society, where I currently serve as an executive assistant to the President and Executive Director of Global Ministries.
Some of my most favorite experiences were my spring break mission trips to serve in Indianapolis and Russia, as well as my Lighthouse trip to Ethiopia! I was also involved in the music department with Wind Ensemble and the Taylor Ringers and played on the women’s club lacrosse team. Overall, I valued being a part of the daily community life at Taylor and all that it offered, as well as the relationships I developed.
Through many of my classes, I was challenged to grow personally and spiritually. Having professors who were knowledgeable in their area and had experience in the field of Psychology was beneficial and helped equip me with the skills and knowledge I needed for graduate school and beyond.
Taylor’s unique, liberal arts education prepares you for a variety of experiences after graduation, both personally and vocationally. While at Taylor, you’ll be challenged to think critically, to become a lifelong learner, to do all things with excellence, and will leave as a servant-leader ready to impact the world for Christ, no matter your profession!
