Since graduating from Taylor University in 2013, I have chosen to follow my passion for agriculture. After graduation, I accepted a full-time job with Monsanto as a research assistant. In 2017, I got married to my beautiful bride, Madison. In 2018, when Bayer acquired Monsanto, I became a Bayer employee. My title changed to Agronomic Research Specialist III (ARS). I help provide quality data from corn and soybean test plots throughout the state of Indiana. I operate high-tech planters, UAVs (Drones), GPS equipment and highly sophisticated research combines that collect field data for each of these crops. Also in 2018, we bought our first home in Noblesville, IN. In 2020, my wife and I had our first baby boy, Cooper. Now, in 2022 we are expecting our second baby. My wife is an RN with Urology of Indiana as a Nurse Navigator, and she absolutely loves it. We attend Traders Point Christian Church (North East Location). We are cherishing our lives in the suburbs as a young family. However, it is our dream to move closer to home and eventually take over the family farm. My passion for dirt biking is still going strong, and my little boy loves to watch and ride his own bike.
1. Black Hills trip with the Reber's. Unforgettable experience. 2. Studying the book of Revelation in Turkey and visiting Greece, and being able to stand in the same cave that John stood while receiving God's word to write Revelation. 3. Competing on the TU Track and Field team and accomplishing a 4th all-time record in the long jump.
I felt privileged and blessed by all of my professors at Taylor. Each one had something unique to pass onto me. There are too many to count, but by far the most impactful thing that I gained from all of them was their faith and love for Jesus. The way they taught and led their students and myself was a unique experience that would not have occurred at a secular school system. The student to professor ratio was very low which allowed for better student attention and understanding of material and growth.
The assets you gain from your Taylor education are many, but the most important one is your faith. Another one is the character you build by experiencing all the ups and downs of the college experience. You will come away with not just a degree, but also the confidence from that piece of paper that you can accomplish anything that you set your sights on.
Love God. Love others. Work harder than everyone else does.
