Adjunct Instructor of Oboe
Angela Shaver is a freelance oboist, English hornist, and teacher based in central Indiana. She has performed with numerous orchestras throughout the region, including the Carmel Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, the Lafayette Master Chorale, the Danville Symphony Orchestra, and multiple church orchestras. She performs under contract with the Anderson Symphony Orchestra and Orchestra Indiana.
While at the University of Cincinnati, she studied with Titus Underwood and worked as a graduate assistant in music theory. She studied with Leonid Sirotkin at Anderson University. While there, she won the annual Evening of Excellence concerto competition and received the prestigious Theodore Presser Scholarship.
