Dean of Faculty Development, Education, and Social & Behavioral Sciences
Dr. Hotmire spent the first 15 years of his career in public education as a teacher, coach, and athletic administrator. He joined the Taylor University Education Department in 2014 and began serving as Department Chair in 2018. Over the last 10 years, Dr. Hotmire has developed strategic partnerships and presented research on mentoring, personality development in teachers, and authenticity in the classroom with K12 leaders and educational organizations throughout the United States, the Bahamas, Ireland, Northern Ireland, China, and South Korea. Throughout his time at Taylor, Dr. Hotmire has led the Education Department in its expansion of Taylor’s Transition to Teaching and Online Licensure graduate programs, TESOL programs, and launched the undergraduate Education Mentoring Program. He is now the Dean of Business, Education, & Social and Behavioral Science.
