Assistant Professor of Social Work and Director of Social Work Field Education
I have 19 years of clinical and administrative practice experience in a variety of mental health settings, both secular and faith-based, specializing with depression, anxiety, trauma and abuse, relational issues, grief and loss, and eating disorders.
Before I came to teach at Taylor, we were a Taylor parents. Taylor’s mission resonated with me and I was drawn to its vibrant faith community. I love coming alongside students in their academic and faith journey, as they discover what it means to “love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your mind…and to love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:37-39).
My husband and I have been married for 29 years. The Lord has blessed us with 4 adult children (and now two more through marriage). Charlie, our yellow lab, keeps us entertained and young. When I am not teaching, I love reading, getting coffee with a friend, and spending time with family. I also enjoy playing games (I'm a little competitive) and recently started playing pickleball.
