Director of Chapel Music, Staff Accompanist, and Adjunct Instructor of Music
Dr. Clifton Davis enjoys collaborating with people through his roles as Director of Chapel Music, Staff Accompanist, and an Adjunct Professor in music, theology, and student development. In his 13 years at Taylor University, he has built bridges and created solutions through music for the divisions that separate us. He regularly composes and arranges for friends, students, faculty and ensembles around the world including the Questors Choir (London) and TU's Taylor Sounds.
His writings and music have been published by SMP Press, Arrangeme.com, Lifeway Music, and Urban Ministries. His commissioned work includes both vocal and instrumental music. Dr. Davis graduated magna cum laude from Ball State University in 2016, receiving a Doctor of Arts in Music degree. His doctoral dissertation covers original research about the best practices in group creativity in the choral setting. As a conductor, vocalist, and instrumentalist, he has performed from South America to Singapore. He is a devoted husband and father to three children.
