Biography

Mick is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, holds an MBA from Regent University, and a Doctor of Management with George Fox University. Over the last 20 years of his higher education career, he has served as the Program Chair/Associate Professor for Business Administration at Life Pacific University and as the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship/Professor of Entrepreneurship at Taylor University. In conjunction with Mick’s nearly 20-year business career in call center technology start-up companies, he has developed a passion for imbuing the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship inside and outside of campus.

Over the years, Mick has fostered student innovation, Business as Mission (BAM) and entrepreneurship opportunities within the classroom and through a host of extracurricular activities such as a statewide business plan competition, numerous global BAM trips with students and business professionals, student consulting, and an on-campus incubator. BAM is about making authentic relationships for real change. At Life Pacific University, he launched a new business major that engages students to develop their gifts, talents and passions in business, so they make a difference in their communities through transformational economic, social and spiritual change.

When he can, Mick loves to fly fish for salmon, particularly in Alaska. Mick and Andrea have been blessed with 13 grandchildren with more on the way.
