Assistant Professor of English & Modern Languages
While attending a secular graduate school, I had the opportunity to research and write from a faith-based perspective about Willa Cather’s “Death Comes for the Archbishop.” It was gratifying to express my faith in the research, but also to witness to my professor!
God has been gracious and merciful in countless ways for which I am grateful. Teaching is a dream come true, which allows God to develop a talent that honors Him. There is a profundity in the connection between student and instructor, exchanging ideas and aspirations, extending hope through mutual bolstering, and expressing distinctive stories of life journeys with Jesus.
My sweetheart for life, Andrea, has sojourned with me for nearly 41 years of marriage. Our union has produced three wonderful blessings: Sarah, Hannah, and Andrew. In addition, we experience elevated blessings through seven grands, ages 1-9: Ruby, Lani, Opal, Anson, Coral, Archer, and Amelia.
I am an avid reader of an array of eclectic subject matter: the autism spectrum, small town dynamics, 1960s civil rights, western epics, poverty eradication, and an Irish memoir.
