Later he became Director of General Education and eventually Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs at Taylor’s Fort Wayne Campus. He then served 10 years as Vice Chancellor of the East-Central Region of Ivy Tech Community College. After retiring, he returned to teach piano part-time at Taylor.
As a performer he has soloed with the University of Toledo Orchestra, the University of Arizona Orchestra, the Marion Philharmonic, and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic—the latter two as duo pianist with wife Chikako Sloan. His students have won local, state, and regional competitions. He lives in Yorktown, Indiana.
