Professor of Chemistry
I have more than 12 years' experience teaching organic chemistry, and conducting research with undergraduate students. My multidisciplinary research interests fall in the broad categories of medicinal chemistry, material chemistry, catalysis and renewable energy.
I am particularly interested in and have focused on: 1) design and synthesis of organic compounds as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) for the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, 2) design and synthesis of organic materials for renewable energy, and optoelectronic devices, 3) design and synthesis of catalysts for electrochemical reduction of carbon dioxide to methanol.
