Thanks to TU Donors, Graduating Senior Seeks to Multiply Kingdom Impact

Vic Neideffer was a junior at North Montgomery High School in Crawfordsville, Ind., when she first heard about Taylor University.

Alumni at her home church encouraged her to consider going to Taylor. Most of her peers were going to nearby Purdue University, but she wanted something different. She had recently begun to take her faith seriously and wanted an environment that would help her to continue to grow in her relationship with God.

When she arrived on campus in 2016, Vic quickly made friends and got involved in co-curricular activities. She became involved in residence life her sophomore and junior years as a personnel assistant and disciple assistant. Not only did these experiences help her grow as a leader, but they pushed Vic to grow in what it means to be in right relationship with others.

“I have been challenged in many ways seeing how student leaders can have a sizable impact in the lives of those around them,” she explains. “My experience opened my eyes to see what gifts I have been given and how God wants me to use my gifts to further his kingdom.”

As Vic approaches graduation this month, she believes Taylor has been both the most challenging and the most impactful part of her life.

“Not only have I learned more about who I am, but I have also been able to learn more about who God is through the testimony of others around me. I have been challenged by differing views and concepts learned in class, and I have been reminded again and again to seek the Lord and the truth that is ultimately found in Him.”

She believes these experiences have equipped her well for life post-Taylor. This fall she will attend Kent State University to pursue a Master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling.

“I want to eventually work with college students through the form of counseling or student development so I might have the same impact that many people at Taylor have had on my life,” she says.

Vic’s experiences would not have been possible without the Taylor Fund. This academic year, Taylor awarded more than $30 million in scholarships and aid, a record amount to make Taylor possible for more servant-leaders. Every dollar we raise between now and May 31 will help us come closer to fulfilling these commitments.
