Internationally-Known Artist Kenneth Steinbach Featured in Upcoming Exhibition

The works of artist Kenneth Steinbach will be featured in an upcoming exhibition, I Love Only You. The exhibit, shown in the Metcalf Gallery on the Taylor University campus, will open October 22 and conclude on December 10, 2021.

Steinbach, a Professor of Art at Bethel University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is the author of Creative Practices for Visual Artists: Time, Space, Process, published by Routledge Press. Working within a range of media and visual traditions, Steinbach exhibits throughout the United States and elsewhere, and has received numerous grants in direct support of his art and research.

He is a graduate of Cranbrook Art Academy and the recipient of the 2014 Arlin G. Meyer award in visual art from the Lily Foundation. Other honors include a Faculty Excellence Award in Teaching, and Edgren Scholars Grant from Bethel University. He has also been recognized with the 8th Bethel University Professor Award.

Recent exhibits include the Uluslararasi International Istanbul Biennial; Trykkeriet Center for Printmaking in Bergen, Norway; the Plains Art Museum, Fargo, North Dakota; and Equity Gallery, New York. His work is included in the collection of the Walker Art Center and numerous other institutions.

He resides in Minneapolis with his wife Kari, a theatrical director.

There will be an artist talk in Modelle Metcalf Visual Arts Center 002 on Friday, October 22 from 6 pm–8 pm.
