The Taylor University Theatre program will present the Broadway musical Annie, the Depression-era story of a child living in New York City’s Municipal Orphanage and her search for her parents.

Show times are April 29, 30, and May 6, 7, at 7:30 pm. Annie will also be presented at 2 pm, May 1 and 8. All performances will be in Mitchell Theatre on the Taylor campus.

Annie is set in December 1933 with the titular character dreaming of a reunion with her parents when her search leads her to her benefactor, Daddy Warbucks. Annie is based on the original comic strip Little Orphan Annie, which first published in 1924 and became one of the most popular and longest running comic strips in American history. Since its launch as a Broadway musical in 1972, Annie has become one of America’s most popular productions.

Audience members are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance by contacting the box office: 765-998-5289 and boxoffice@taylor.edu. Adult tickets are $20, and college students, children, and senior citizen tickets are $12.

Annie is directed by Tracy Manning and designed by Kevin Gawley.

Taylor Theatre provides an immersive experience for audiences and participants by pursuing excellence on and off the stage, embracing difficulty and asking questions in pursuit of truth.
