Taylor Community Remembers Alumna Jackie Walorski

We are deeply saddened to learn of the death of Congresswoman Jackie Walorski, a 1985 alumna of Taylor University, who died in yesterday’s auto accident in Elkhart County, Indiana. Ms. Walorski’s vibrant faith led her and her husband, Dean Swihart, to serve for four years in Romania as Christian missionaries. That faith also animated her nearly two decades of public service – first, for three terms in the Indiana Legislature, and since 2013 as a member of the United States House of Representatives. The Taylor community is praying for Ms. Walorski’s family, loved ones, and friends, as well as the family and friends of the others whose lives were lost in this tragic accident.
