Taylor Theatre is presenting Irving Berlin’s White Christmas, based on the Paramount Pictures 1954 film of the same name. The production will run November 11, 12, 18, and December 2, 3 at 7:30 pm and November 13, 20, and December 4 at 2 pm in Taylor University’s Mitchell Theatre.
Irving Berlin’s White Christmas is a timeless tale of joy and goodwill about a song-and-dance team who set their own agenda aside to remind somebody just how important they were and are to so many. Along the way, they fall for the stunning sister act of the Haynes Sisters. With music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake, this show is full of dancing, laughter, and some of the greatest songs ever written. The dazzling score features “Blue Skies,” “I Love a Piano,” “How Deep is the Ocean?,” “Count Your Blessings,” and the unforgettable title song, “White Christmas.”
Newly-updated Mitchell Theatre in Rupp Communications Center is transformed into a charming rural Vermont inn, setting the scene for this must-see spectacular production that will start the Christmas season off on the right note.
The production team for White Christmas includes artistic director Tracy Manning, music director Dr. Loralee Songer, vocal director Dr. Conor Angell, and choreographers Kory Browder and Jennifer Wolcott. Set design is by Kevin Gawley and light design is by Conner Reagan.
