Taylor Singers to Present Collaborative Concert with Singer-Songwriter Moira Smiley

Taylor University Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance welcomes acclaimed classical and folk singer, composer, and song-collector Moira Smiley for a guest artist concert on Thursday, March 2, at 8 pm in the Atrium of Euler Science Complex.

Moira Smiley has sung in arenas, cathedrals, kitchens, back porches, sound stages, and on glaciers. She’s performed with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Tune-Yards, Tim O’Brien, Eric Whitacre, Los Angeles Master Chorale, New World Symphony, Solas, and The Lyris String Quartet. Moira’s original compositions, choral arrangements, and folk music are being sung by millions of voices around the world today.

The concert will include collaborations with the Taylor University Chorale, Taylor Sounds, Women’s Chorus, and other singers and instrumentalists from the Taylor community. The concert will last one hour. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.
