Homecoming and Family Weekend Scheduled for October 20-22

Taylor University is preparing to welcome over 2,000 alumni, parents, family members, and friends who will attend Homecoming and Family Weekend, scheduled for Friday, October 20, through Sunday, October 22.

The weekend’s events include alumni awards and reunions, campus tours, athletic and music events, food, and the annual Homecoming 5K race on the beautiful Taylor cross country course. Six Lifelong Learning sessions taught by alumni and faculty will be held on Friday and Saturday. From brewing coffee to media accuracy to discipling the next generation, attendees will gain great insights from experts in their fields.

The Alumni Council will present service and recognition awards to Dr. Kim Barnett-Johnson ’89, Rod and Donna Boatwright, Derek Hoffman ’08, Kara (Hackett ’13) Metzler, and the family of Dr. Jennifer (Hammond ’97) Clamme at chapel on Friday, October 20.

2-3 pm: Stillman Fieldhouse Ribbon Cutting and Tour, Stillman Fieldhouse

5-7 pm: Fall Fest Family Dinner, Odle parking lot

5:30-7 pm: Baseball World Series Ring Presentation and Alumni Game, Winterholder Field

7-9 pm: Volleyball vs. Huntington, Odle Arena

7:30-9 pm: Taylor Music Concert, Rediger Chapel/Auditorium

9:30-10:45 pm: Rice Pilaf, Rediger Chapel/Auditorium 

Saturday, October 21

8-9:30 am: 5k Run, Taylor University Cross Country Course
