On Friday, October 4 through Sunday, October 6, Taylor University will welcome over 2,000 alumni, parents, family members, and friends for Homecoming and Family Weekend.
The weekend’s events include athletic events, food trucks, an all-campus worship service, reunion dinners, lifelong learning sessions, the annual Homecoming 5K race, and more. There will be several student-hosted events that guests can attend including Taylathon (relay bike race), Rice Pilaf (improv comedy), Shop the Loop, and Fall Fest student concert.
Guests also have the opportunity to celebrate Taylor University’s tremendous growth, expansion, and revitalization during the Life to the Full campaign through the dedication of new buildings. There will be individual open houses and ribbon cuttings for the Horne Academic Center, the Tennis and Pickle Ball Courts, the Don Wood Foundation Engineering Area, and the Yost Pavilion and Cunningham Plaza.
The Alumni Council will present service and recognition awards to Kelly (Kerans ‘98) Lyndgaard, Jessie Woodring ‘17, Tim Duncan ‘83, Curt Lundquist ‘80, Matt Johnson ‘02, and Jim Woods ‘65 at chapel on Friday, October 4 at 10 am. Elaine Vandermeulen ‘62 will receive the Doctor of Business degree, honoris causa, which she was awarded in the spring.
