Join the Taylor University Music, Theatre, and Dance Department in celebrating the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons at their upcoming performances on Taylor’s campus, 1846 Main St. Upland, IN 46989. The music concerts are free and open to the public. Dance Concert tickets can be purchased for $5.
Hear the Taylor University Wind Ensemble, conducted by Dr. Christopher Bade, perform works by Scott Boerma, Percy Grainger, and Randall Stanbridge at their fall concert on Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the LaRita Boren Campus Center Rediger Auditorium.
Taylor’s Dance Program is proud to present their fall dance concert, Rooting Upward, Friday, November 22 and 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Mitchell Theatre. This show is an exciting compilation of classical and contemporary dance works, choreographed by TU dance faculty, guest choreographers, and senior student work. Tickets are $5.00. Begin the Christmas season with the Taylor Women’s Chorus concert, Carry the Light. The vocal ensemble, directed by Janel Baker, will perform on Sunday, November 24 at 3:00 p.m. in the Smith-Hermanson Music Center Butz Carruth Recital Hall.
Be with the Taylor Symphony Orchestra to celebrate the finest music composed for orchestra. See if they are playing Beethoven (or Dvorak)....you will be “smarter” for engaging with classical music. The TU Symphony Orchestra, directed by Dr. Christopher Bade, will perform on Monday, November 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the LaRita Boren Campus Center Rediger Auditorium.
Come witness the beautiful artistry and storytelling of the Advent season. The Taylor University Chorale and Sounds, conducted by Dr. Reed Spencer, will perform their Christmas concert on Saturday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. in the Euler Science Center Atrium.
Hear Duke Ellington’s setting of the Nutcracker by the Taylor Jazz Ensemble on Sunday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Smith-Hermanson Music Center Butz Carruth Recital Hall. The ensemble is directed by Josiah Williams.
