When you come to Taylor University, have your passport ready to go.

Global engagement is central to what you’ll experience here. It’s what you’ll talk about in classes, what you’ll hear in chapel, the places you'll go, and the events you’ll attend. We’re committed to sending Taylor to the world and bringing the world to Taylor through the Spencer Center for Global Engagement.

Learn boldly, serve faithfully, and go globally through study abroad and missions trips.

Study or Serve during January Term

Our Mission

The Spencer Center for Global Engagement was established in January 2006 to expand the University’s ability to dynamically integrate Christian faith, life-long learning, and global service. It serves as a conduit for collaboration and innovation to unify and to reinforce Taylor’s purpose of whole person education and ministering Christ’s redemptive love, grace, and truth to a world in need. The Center significantly enhances Taylor’s historical strength in global outreach, evangelism, and intercultural learning opportunities.

Within the Spencer Center, Taylor World Outreach (TWO) sends out Lighthouse and mission trip teams to serve during January term and spring break. All academic trips, both semester and J-Term, are managed by TU Global
