Art History (Minor)

Art has been a central piece of society in every culture throughout history

Learn how Christian and secular artists have shaped our world and influenced our perceptions of beauty and visual communication.

The Art History curriculum focuses on the histories of Western, Asian, and contemporary art, as well as Christianity and art, photography, and graphic art. You will develop your understanding and appreciation for global art across time and expand your ability to apply unique historical styles to your own work. Recommended majors include Art Education, Graphic Art, Studio Art, and Pre-Art Therapy.

Open to all majors. Graphic Art, Studio Art, Art Education, and Pre-Art Therapy majors may not overlap more than 50% of major requirements with this minor.
