Political Science, Philosophy & Economics (Major)
Combine three disciplines into one major that will help you develop a deep, nuanced understanding of how the world operates.
The Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) major is an interdisciplinary major that helps students understand the multiple forces affecting society.
You’ll make connections between systems of thought, political action, and economic systems and gain hands-on experiences applying what you learn to contemporary issues. You will learn about significant political and economic structures and processes, while being globally engaged.
With classes in all three disciplines, the Political Science, Philosophy, & Economics major provides a foundation to think critically from multiple perspectives, with well-rounded views of modern society. Each discipline is also explicitly connected with faith and vocation and will challenge you to pursue rigorous study with the expectation of impacting the world through your career.
All PPE majors take part in an extended practicum in either political science, philosophy, or economics. Develop your professional skills outside of the classroom in independent research projects, study abroad programs, seminars, and Taylor’s nationally-ranked Ethics Bowl team.
