Developing servant-leaders is a hallmark of Taylor and is widely recognized as a key differentiator and strength. As we look toward our third century of service, we believe this may be the most significant contribution Taylor can make for God’s work in the wider world – one that will make a generational difference.
Taylor aspires to move from excellence to eminence in equipping students to meet their generation’s challenges and opportunities.

Catalyzing Character Development, School Spirit, and Enrollment Growth
Investments in athletic facilities and programs will significantly improve the recruiting success of our coaches, help grow our student body, and make our teams more competitive. Projects completed include new artificial turf on Turner Stadium, Winterholter Field, and Wheeler Practice Field; a refreshed Odle lobby and new court flooring in Odle Arena; a 4,200-square-foot athletics weight room; and renovation of Stillman Fieldhouse, which includes new locker rooms for the football and lacrosse teams, a football lounge, team meeting rooms, and practice space for the baseball and softball teams.
Coming to Turner Stadium: An Elevated Game Day Experience
From pre-game tailgate opportunities to in-game experiences at Turner Stadium, the Trojan Athletic Club will enhance the student-athlete and game-day experience. The 4,600 square foot facility will include:
Tennis to Restart, Fall of 2025
In Spring 2024, the University announced a relaunch of the men’s and women’s tennis programs. The Campus Master Plan identifies a new location for the courts on the west side of 8th Street. The new location will include nine tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, a judge’s tower, lighting, restrooms, and parking.
Developing High-Capacity, Spiritually-Grounded Leaders
The Presidential Fellows program aspires to catalyze the leadership potential of a select group of students, equipping them to assume positions of significant responsibility in private corporations, public life, and non-profits within ten to 20 years of graduation.
Through work assignments in each cabinet office and mentoring opportunities, the Fellows see firsthand the process of leading a major organization. This is part of a larger strategy to give talented young people exposure to issues at an earlier age and to help them deepen their competencies for more effective service over the course of their careers.
Hodson Dining Commons, Plaza and Pavilion, Event Center, Zondy’s
In 2023, Hodson Dining Commons (DC) underwent a major reconstruction. Renovations included rebuilding the kitchen and serving areas (including a new allergen-free location), upgrading the dining room furniture and flooring, installing a new elevator for better accessibility, and adding new restrooms in the current Isely Room.
Adjacent to the south side of the DC will be patio spaces, pergolas, gathering fire pits, and a large pavilion. The recent reconstruction will also include a new 600-seat event center that will allow for large gatherings and flexibly accommodate smaller groups.
Zondy’s, located in Zondervan Galleria, features the popular Trojan Deli and grab-and-go options.
Expansions in Residence Life
With growing enrollment, Taylor’s residential village provides new housing options for the University. Opening in Fall 2024, the Village will have five three-story furnished townhomes, housing 152 students. These units will be reserved for upper-class students but also allow for alternative housing, including faculty housing, summer conferences, and short-term guest stays.
