As an educator/scholar I am energized by the desire of TU students to be active learners who seek to grow not only in mind but in spirit. It is this whole-person development that creates a unique community at Taylor where I can get to know students as academics, brothers and sisters in Christ, and community members.
I often tell students on the first day of class that they will not simply see me in the classroom, but they will see me eating dinner with my family at the DC, or out for an early jog on 8th St., and often strolling through campus with my husband and Maggie, our dog. The intentional community created at Taylor is a result of not only proximity but choices made to engage with one another about our disciplines, life in general, and our growth in Him. I am thankful each day for the chance to make such choices.
