The Taylor Fund is an annual giving opportunity that focuses on students and the institution’s highest priorities: current scholarships and financial aid. Through the Fund, alumni and friends of the University are able to invest in the lives of students.
Because tuition alone does not cover the entire cost of a Taylor education, these gifts make the Taylor experience more affordable for every student—helping the University continue to be a place where students can thrive, regardless of their financial circumstances.
Gifts to the Taylor Fund represent an ongoing investment in Taylor’s tradition of academic excellence and intentional community as we seek to develop servant-leaders marked with a passion to minister Christ’s redemptive love and truth to a world in need.
As a child, Daniel Gerber went from living on the streets of Ethiopia to life in an orphanage to being adopted at age 12 by an American family.
“God has been so good to me,” said Daniel. “There was a point in my life where I had no hope. I didn’t think I would achieve anything great, based on my circumstances. It’s just amazing how God can take someone from the ashes and use that individual for His glory.”
Daniel is a member of Taylor’s championship cross country squad, has NAIA All-American status, and is a USTFCCCA Scholar-Athlete. His hope is to one day return to Ethiopia to help break the cycle of poverty through educational means.
