IU Health On-Demand Virtual Visits

IU Health on-demand virtual visits are available from 6 am – 11 pm, 7 days a week. IU Health on-demand virtual visits have a $59 cost that is not covered in the Taylor Student Health Fee. All major insurance carriers are accepted.

Emergency Care

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. 

Visits to Urgent Care or the ER are not covered by the Taylor Student Health Fee.

For non-life-threatening concerns that happen outside of normal Health Center hours, there are several urgent care clinics in the area:

What to Do If You are Sick 

If you are ill, please stay away from others as much as possible. If needed, contact a medical care provider or visit the Health Center. If you will miss class, the Excused Absence Request Form can be found on myTAYLOR (login required). 

Excused Absences 

The Health Center evaluates excused absences on a case-by-case basis. Each provider independently decides based on the severity and contagiousness of the illness. Typically, notes are given for the time spent in the clinic, but not retroactively. For contagious illnesses, notes may cover the period from when symptoms began. Providers also consider documented calls or triage visits in their decisions.
