Physics and Mathematics Education (Major)

If you have a knack for mathematics and physics and a passion for passing on knowledge, consider a Physics & Mathematics Education major

Math and science classes will give you a deep understanding of mathematics and advanced physics, while education classes will train you to make those subjects accessible to your own students who may not have a natural inclination for them. Additionally, you will learn essential classroom skills, such as classroom management and discipline, assessment methods, and lesson planning based on your students’ age group.

The Physics and Mathematics Education curriculum will build an interdisciplinary knowledge that will allow our students to become math or physics teachers for grades 5-12 or pursue entry-level physics or mathematics careers.
