Do you see yourself in a leadership position one day?
Grow your leadership skills by adding this Servant-Leadership minor to any degree. At Taylor, we believe that leadership was best modeled by Jesus Christ. He not only taught His disciples how they are to walk, but he also washed their feet as a sign of love, humility, and sacrifice. He is the standard of healthy, humble leadership and we are committed to showing students how to lead in the way of Christ through formational learning.
If you desire to grow and be challenged, to seek congruence between faith and leadership, and to live and lead more like Jesus, we encourage you to consider a minor in servant-leadership. This program cultivates the relationship between “integrity of heart” and “skill of hands” (Psalm 78) through healthy spiritual formation, dynamic learning of theory, meaningful self-reflection, ongoing practice, and sharing questions and insights with the peer community.

Career Opportunities:
Expressed in our mission statement, Taylor has a legacy of developing servant-leaders for over 175 years, and this new program gives us the opportunity to lean into that vision even more by providing formational learning opportunities to students seeking to grow in their servant-leadership skills.
Learn MoreIn the gospel accounts, we see Jesus teaching and discipling, and we also see Him washing His disciples’ feet and laying down His very life for us all. As we discuss leadership theory and practice key competencies, we will do so through a gospel lens, looking to Jesus as the Perfect Servant-Leader that we are to model.
