Elements that Help You Stand Out
Chemistry is often referred to as the “central science” because of its close connection to the other sciences and its utility in both fundamental and applied research. Because of the breadth and flexibility of Taylor's Chemistry and Biochemistry programs, you'll be able to finely tune your degree to best reach your goals.
We believe that the study of chemistry will strengthen your faith in the creator God through the order, precision and purpose apparent in the physical world. Along with rigorous classes and hands-on laboratory experiences, you will be challenged to engage with scripture and your faith throughout your program of study.
As a Chemistry graduate, you'll be well-prepared for life after college.
Work in a state-of-the-art environment directly with faculty. You’ll gain a significant amount of seat time with spectroscopic, spectrometric, electrochemical, chromatographic, and hybrid analytical instrumentations.
Meet our AlumniThe open-concept laboratory spaces in the Euler Science Complex provide an excellent learning environment. Project-oriented lab exercises and research projects develop your creative and critical thinking skills necessary for investigating real-world problems.
The 1,064 square foot chemical instrumentation laboratory houses an impressive selection of American Chemistry Society standard analytical tools which are dedicated solely for undergraduate use.
Students studying chemistry have numerous opportunities to grow in and out of the classroom.
Opportunities for research are available during semesters or over the summer.
Complete a semester of course work, develop Spanish fluency, work as an intern, help a global health outreach program, assist in an operating room, complete clinical labs, and visit medical schools during this health professions-focused semester experience in Cuenca, Ecuador.
Join Taylor’s chapter of the American Chemical Society and use your talents to volunteer in the Grant County community.
Dr. Tricia Stan hosts a club for women chemistry majors to create intentional relationships, discuss what it means to be a female in a male-dominated discipline, and enjoy lots of tea and desserts.
Enjoy fellowship and thought-provoking conversation with your classmates and professors over a delicious meal.
Listen to chemists and other scientific professionals share new developments in chemistry and talk about their experiences in the chemistry industry.
