The KSAC is one of the finest recreational centers in the area, providing an outstanding venue for the physical side of whole-person development. Its four main features—The Well, Fieldhouse, Eichling Aquatics Wing, and the Aerobics Room—offer Taylor University and the surrounding community an excellent outlet for physical activity and leisurely recreation.
The Well offers a wide variety of workout equipment, weights, treadmills, ellipticals, and more. The two-lane lap pool in the Eichling Aquatics Wing is available for student athletes for athletic training, and all students can take beginning swimming classes, lifeguard training, water aerobics, and water safety instructor courses. With great equipment and facilities, the KSAC meets students’ needs for everything from recreational to intense physical activity. It offers space for casual games and personal fitness goals, while also allowing Trojan student-athletes to pursue excellence in practice and training year-round.

The KSAC is closed during chapel on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am-11 am. Hours may vary during University breaks and will be communicated to students and employees.
Taylor University’s home court, Odle Arena, officially opened in 1975 and was named for Don Odle, who coached the Taylor men’s basketball team for 32 years. The main court contains lines for basketball and volleyball, and is equipped with air-conditioning, eight basketball hoops, and stadium seating for 1,500.
A 42,000-square-foot athletics weight room was recently renovated, giving student-athletes an incredible space to work out in.
The facility also houses the offices of the Taylor University Intercollegiate Athletic Department, the Athletic Training department, and the Kinesiology department. Locker rooms, racquetball courts, classrooms, a concession stand, and the Taylor Athletic Hall of Fame can be found in Odle Arena.
Named after longtime Taylor baseball coach Larry Winterholter, Winterholter Field serves as the home to the Taylor baseball team. Thanks to a large gift from a baseball alumnus, the complex underwent a major renovation in the summer of 2012, becoming the first artificial surface field at any Hoosier NAIA institution. The artificial turf provides the TU baseball program with a beautiful playing surface that is mostly unaffected by wet weather, allowing Taylor to play and practice in spite of the weather.
The renovations also included new sunken dugouts, a new backstop and netting, as well as a new scoreboard featuring inning-by-inning scoring, also made possible by the generous donations of alumni. The updates continued with lights being installed to allow for fewer missed afternoon classes for the student-athletes.
This recently-renovated steel-paneled building on the north side of Turner Stadium provides additional opportunities for kinesiology and athletics. The Fieldhouse serves as the football locker room and holds the Pete Carlson Intercollegiate Athletic Weight Room; two batting cages for baseball, softball, and golf; classrooms; and football staff offices.
Turner Stadium
Turner Stadium is home to the Taylor football, men’s soccer, and women’s soccer teams. The stadium includes a regulation turf field, lines for football and soccer, and lights on both the game and practice fields. Turner Stadium has a seating capacity of 4,400 with ample room for overflow crowds. A press box is situated above the west stands and contains hospitality areas for members of the media, officials, coaches, radio stations, and guests.
Track and Field Facilities
The George Glass Track and Field Complex is home to the Taylor University men’s and women’s track and field programs. The facility is named after long-time coach George Glass, who was inducted into the TU Hall of Fame in 1977. This track is a 440-yard rubberized, all-weather surface and hosts specialized facilities for field events. The Kesler Student Activities Center also houses a complete indoor track.
TU Cross Country Course
Located on former farmlands 1.5 miles west of campus, at the intersection of E. 600 S. and S. 800 E, the Taylor University cross country course opened in the fall of 2014 with the first-ever Ray Bullock Invitational. The scenic and dynamic course winds through the fields and wooded areas of the Taylor Wilderness. The course is 100% grass with a mixture of rolling hills, and it’s spectator-friendly as all mile and kilometer breaks are clearly marked.
