The Finance Hub is equipped with 10 Bloomberg Terminals and other financial service software. It also hosts finance classes and workshops that engage students with professional-grade software tools.

Finance Opportunities

  • Investing Excellence Club (IXL)

    Engage with and learn from the Student Managed Investment Fund (i.e. Endowment Teams). Open to all Taylor students, the IXL Club puts into practice security selection and asset allocation, all while applying a biblical framework to investment decisions.  

    Students meet regularly to review current news and economic events, portfolio allocation changes, and buy/sell side reports. 

  • Portfolio

    Get hands-on experience in money management through the active portfolio management of our nearly $5 million dollar student-run portfolio.  

    Students establish an investment strategy and actively manage their investment allotment throughout the semester.

  • Minor in Finance

    Learn how the functions of the finance world—accounting, taxes, investments—apply to multiple areas of study. Courses focus on practical finance methods, the banking system, financial management, and international finance. Non-business majors must take additional prerequisite courses to complete this minor.

Professional Licenses

Taylor Finance seeks to make our students employable right out of the gate. Many roles in the financial services industry require certain licenses in order to be able to do their job. Taylor Finance has embedded curriculum that satisfies many of these license requirements within existing courses. Students can complete and sit for the following professional licenses:

  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
  • Uniform Investment Advisor Law Exam (Series 65)
  • Indiana Insurance Pre-License
  • Indiana Real Estate Pre-License (pending)

Professional Credentialing

Sit for professional designation exams and catapult to the top of the recruiting pipeline by some of the major players in financial services. As a Finance major, you’ll benefit from established strategic alliances with professional organizations.
