Multimedia Journalism (Major/Minor)

Are you curious about the world, enjoy interviewing, and aren’t afraid to dig for information?

The Multimedia Journalism major will prepare you to craft messages with consumer insight, Christian ethics, and passion. You’ll learn to tell stories in as many ways as possible—not just through printed words, but also through design, photos, audio, and video.

Every Multimedia Journalism student completes an internship in an area of journalism or media writing with mentorship by an industry professional. Seniors also complete a professional portfolio that is showcased alongside their other work at a senior show.

“If I do bad reporting, then the story will be poorly written. So, when I’m assigned a story that I don’t know much about, doing research, finding a clear angle, and ensuring I have good questions is critical.”
