Photography (Major/Minor)

Engage in a thorough, immersive program covering the scope of photography and its relationship to business, ministry and fine art.

Photography is a constantly evolving field, and students are encouraged to create imagery and materials in combination with traditional and alternative photographic processes and tools. With the integration of Taylor’s Christian liberal arts core, you’ll develop critical thinking and adaptability, learning to articulate their motives and intentions, to be aware of historical and contemporary photographic practice and to consider the social, political, and cultural implications of images and image making.

Why a Photography BFA?

The heart of this Photography Bachelor of Fine Arts degree focuses on the practical, rather than primarily on lecture or discussion classes. With no language requirement (unlike a BA), you’ll take about 14 additional hours of photography, design, and other art classes instead.

I love that Tayor requires an internship or practicum from practically all students. The real world will have ideas that you must cross-reference with God’s Word and find for yourself whether you agree with them or not.
