Make yourself at home.

Find your home away from home in one of our twelve residence hall options. Living on campus at Taylor allows you to foster lifelong friendships in a nurturing environment. Our residence halls cultivate men and women of God.

A live-in residence hall director provides leadership to the entire hall. Every wing or floor has an upperclassman PA (Personnel Assistant). The PA helps build and sustain a healthy, Christian community and manages the activities of the wing or floor.

Housing FAQs

All information about tuition, housing, and meals can be found here.

All freshmen are required to be on the 19-meal plan. Students whose academic status changes to sophomore or higher after the fall semester must remain on the 19-meal plan throughout their entire first year.

After that, students may reduce or increase their meal plan during the first week of classes in a term. After the first week of classes, students may increase their meal plan but may not decrease.

The 10 and 7 meal plans are available to students living in campus apartments, living off campus, or commuting. Student teachers, social work interns, and other students participating in full-time internships/practicums while living in the residence halls are also eligible for the 10 and 7 meal plans.

You can find information about Taylor's residence halls here.

After paying your matriculation fee, you will receive an email with instructions and a link to your housing application portal. Please contact your admissions counselor if you have trouble accessing your portal.

The Academic Enrichment Center manages all academic and housing accommodations. Please contact Scott Barrett at scott_barrett@taylor.edu for more information.

Possibly. Students may apply to change rooms between the fall semester and January term. In October, an application will be posted in the daily student announcements email.

Off-Campus housing is considered overflow housing. The number of students approved to live off-campus is based on projected enrollment and retention and is used to ensure on-campus capacity is effectively managed.

University policy permits the following students to live off-campus: aged 25 or older, married, part-time, senior student teachers, senior social work interns, and students with an off-campus accommodation approved by the Academic Enrichment Center.

Commuters must live in the home of their parents/guardians, and commute from a distance no greater than 50 miles. If you would like to commute, please reach out to housing@taylor.edu.

If you defer or withdraw from Taylor, your spot in housing is no longer reserved. Once you begin the readmission process and pay your matriculation fee, you will be given access to your housing application. After you submit this, the housing office will work to place you.

Graduate students are permitted to live on campus if they have a Residence Life assistantship through the MAHE program.
