Theatre Arts (Major/Minor)

Build on your God-given passion for theatre through an immersive experience that seeks excellence on and off stage.

Majoring in Theatre Arts will develop your skills in acting, stagecraft, management, and play direction. Beyond the practical, you will be led to consider the biblical foundations of theatre arts, face difficult questions in pursuit of Truth, and discover what it means to be an integrated Christian theatre artist.

By joining our National Kennedy Center for the Arts award-winning theatre program, you can add to Taylor Theatre’s legacy of high-quality productions and build your personal repertoire.

You’ll get hands-on experience putting into practice what you are learning in the classroom. Every semester, Taylor Theatre produces national award–winning productions created largely by students – as actors, production staff, designers, stage managers, and assistant directors. Working together and challenging each other; this community creates quality performances that honor God and exemplify excellence.

  • John Broda

    Class of 2020

Taylor helped me realize that my faith and my art are not mutually exclusive. God calls me to tell possibly difficult or uncomfortable stories with integrity because they give us perspective, provide space for dialogue, and shine a light into darkness.

  • Grace Foltz

    Class of 2018

Taylor offered a comprehensive, rounded theatre education. My professors helped me focus on my skills and home in on my strengths.

  • Leah Perry

    Class of 2016

At the end of the day, it all falls on my shoulders. I would have no foundation without Taylor’s multi-dimensional theatre.
